The short answer
A short online call. You talk about your business and leave knowing the one thing to fix first. No pressure either way.
It's a conversation, not a pitch. You'll do most of the talking.
What we ask
We'd like to understand your business as a person would. Who buys from you. What a good customer looks like. Where new customers come from today. Where they slip away.
Then we ask what one new customer is worth to you. That number tells us whether this makes sense.
What you leave with
- A named bottleneck. The one thing holding you back right now.
- A plain answer on whether the Growth Engine fits.
- A sense of what comes next, if it does.
You get these whether or not you hire us. That's the deal.
What we don't do
We don't show a pitch deck. We don't push a package. We don't ask you to decide on the call.
If it's not a fit, we'll say so before the call ends. Some of the most useful calls end with "not yet, and here's why."
How to prepare
You don't need to. If you'd like to, think about these:
- Who's your best customer? A rough idea is plenty.
- What's a new customer worth? A ballpark is fine.
- What have you tried? Including what didn't work.
An illustrative call
This is an example, not a client result.
Say you run a regional physical therapy group. You mention that referrals come from three doctors and nowhere else. We ask what happens if one of them moves away. You go quiet for a moment.
That's your bottleneck: one source of new patients. You leave knowing the first fix is a steady flow of new conversations, and that an app can wait.
Who it's not for
If you want someone to build you something without asking questions, we're not the right fit. We ask a lot at the start because it saves you money later.
The longer version
A lot of first calls with agencies feel like an audition in which the owner is expected to be impressed, so we run ours the other way around: we spend most of the time asking questions about your customers and your numbers, because the answers decide whether we can help, and we'd rather learn that in thirty minutes than after a contract. Come curious. Leave clearer.
Nothing about the call locks you in, and many owners find the most valuable part is simply saying out loud who their best customer is and what a new one would be worth, since that exercise alone often reveals the real bottleneck, and some of them take the answer away and act on it without ever hiring anyone. That's a good outcome. We mean it.
